1. Do I need to have a partner to sign up?
A: No, not at all! This is the most common question, and the answer is: you don't need a partner. The classes are organized to promote partner rotation, allowing everyone to dance with everyone. It's a great way to learn and get to know your classmates.
2. I think I have 'two left feet.' Is this class for me?
A: Yes, definitely. The beginner classes start with the most basic steps, taught clearly and patiently. Our goal is for you to have fun while you learn, regardless of your initial experience.
3. What type of shoes should I wear?
A: To start, the most important thing is to wear comfortable shoes that don't stick to the floor (avoid rubber soles). Shoes with a smooth or leather sole are ideal. Over time, the instructor can advise on more specific dance footwear.
4. What is the difference between Ballroom and Afro-Latin dances?
A: Simply put, Afro-Latin dances (like Salsa and Bachata) have roots in Africa and Latin America and are generally more rhythmic and sensual. Ballroom dances (like the Waltz or Tango) have European origins and are often associated with a more classic and elegant posture. In our classes, you'll get the best of both worlds!
5. Are the classes large? What is the age range?
A: The classes are composed of groups that allow for effective learning and a pleasant social environment. The age range is very diverse, with the most common being adults of all ages looking for a fun and social activity.
