PRIVACY POLICY

1. OBJECT AND DEFINITIONS

1.1 WOU respects the privacy of its Users, Partners and Site Visitors. This Privacy Policy describes who we are, what purposes we use your data for, how we treat it, who we share it with, how long we keep it for, as well as ways to contact us and exercise your rights. Expressions started with capital letter in this Privacy Policy will have the meanings set out below.

1.2 Definitions

Support Line: telephone contact, available on the Site, which provides support services to the User/Visitor and Partners.

Partner: designates the legal entity that provides one or more Products/Services included in a WOU Plan.

Partnership: agreement between WOU and the Partner that allows the latter to have their Product/Service available for booking on wou.pt.

WOU Plan: designates the Product/Service provided by the Partner and can be purchased by Users for a period of time.

Intellectual Property: means (i) patents, pending patent applications, designs, trademarks and trade names (registered or not), copyright and related rights, rights relating to databases, knowledge and confidential information, (ii) any other intellectual property rights and similar or equivalent rights worldwide, which currently exist or are recognized in the future, and (iii) orders, extensions and renewals in relation to any of these rights.

Product/Service: means the product or service provided by the Partner to Users.

Support Service: set of means of contact between WOU, Users/Visitors and Partners.

Website: designates the website www.wou.pt.

User: any person eligible to book a Product/Service on the website www.wou.pt.

Visitor: anyone who accesses the website www.wou.pt but does not formalize any registration.

2. SERVICE PROVIDING ENTITY

2.1 The WOU brand and the Website www.wou.pt are being developed within the scope of the “StartUp Voucher 2018” project - “StartUp Portugal” – following the National Strategy for Entrepreneurship, approved by Order no. 6619-A / 2018 published in Diário da Republica, II Série, n.º 128, of July 5, 2018, domiciled at CETEC - Business Incubator, Rua Coronel Júlio Veiga Simão, 3025-307, Coimbra; email: info@wou.pt; telephone: + 351 918 136 805.

2.2 The following describes our practices for collecting and disseminating information in relation to the www.wou.pt. In order to make you aware of your rights, we suggest you read this Privacy Policy and consult the User Terms and Conditions or Partner Terms and Conditions. Whenever you use the Site, you are subject to this Privacy Policy, so you should check it and stay informed about it.

2.3 WOU reserves the right to modify its Privacy Policy at any time, in whole or in part, in accordance with paragraph 9 of this document.

3. DATA TO BE COLLECTED BY WOU

3.1 WOU may collect and process the following data relating to Users and Partners:

3.1.1 Information provided by Users/Partners when completing the registration form on the Site. Additionally, WOU may request information when Users/Partners report problems with the Website;

3.1.2 If Users/Partners contact WOU, WOU may keep a record of such correspondence;

3.1.3 WOU may also request Users/Partners to complete questionnaires for the purposes of research and statistics, although the respective filling is not mandatory.

4. CONSERVATION OF PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED

4.1 All data provided by Users/Partners/Visitors are kept on WOU servers. Any data will be encrypted using SSL technology or other materially equivalent technology, in order to protect personal data against any form of unlawful treatment when transmitting it. WOU assigns a password to Users/Partners, or if they choose a password, in order to allow them access to certain content on the Site, they will be solely responsible for keeping the password confidential, you shouldn't share it with anyone.

4.2 As known, the transmission of information over the Internet is not entirely secure. Although WOU ensures that everything will be done to protect the personal data of Users/ Partners/Visitors, namely through the adoption of technical and organizational measures that ensure an adequate level of security to protect data against destruction, loss, alteration, dissemination or access unauthorized, cannot guarantee, without reservation, the security of the data transmitted to the Site. As soon as WOU receives the data transmitted by Users/ Partners/Visitors, it will employ strict security procedures in an attempt to prevent unauthorized access to those.

5. USE OF DATA

5.1 WOU will use the data saved for the following purposes:

5.1.1 To ensure that the content of the WOU Website is presented in the most effective way for Users/Partners/Visitors on their computers or mobile devices;

5.1.2 To fulfill the obligations arising from any contracts entered into between Users/Partners and WOU.

5.1.3 To notify Users/Partners of changes to the service or any other relevant notices.

5.2 WOU may also use data from Users/Partners in order to provide them with information about new WOU services that may interest them.

5.3 WOU will use the data collected for the time strictly necessary to pursue the purposes mentioned in paragraph 5.1.2 of this clause.

6. IP ADDRESSES AND COOKIES

6.1 WOU may gather information about computers or mobile devices, including, when available, their IP addresses, operating system, telephone identification reference and type of Internet browser (browser), for the purposes of system administration and to transmit aggregated information to WOU Partners. It is statistical data about the activity and navigation patterns, and does not allow the identification of any individual.

6.2 For the same reason, WOU may obtain information about the general use of the Internet by Users/Partners/Visitors through a cookie file that is stored on the hard disk of Users' computers. The cookies files contain data information that is transferred from the Web server to the hard disk of the Users' computers and that allows WOU to improve the Site in order to provide a more personalized service. They allow:

6.2.1 Estimate the adhesion to the WOU service and the respective usage patterns;

6.2.2 Store information about the preferences of the Partner/Visitor Users, and thus allow WOU to personalize the WOU Website according to their interests;

6.2.3 Speed up the searches of Users/Partners/Visitors;

6.2.4 Recognize Users/Partners/Visitors when they return to the WOU Website.

6.3 Users/Partners/Visitors can refuse to accept cookies if they activate the browser function that allows them to refuse cookies. However, when selecting this configuration, they may not be able to access certain contents of the Site. Unless the browser is configured to refuse cookies, the system will issue cookies when Users / Partners log on to the Site.

6.4 WOU warns Users that Partners may also use cookies, which WOU does not control.

6.5 If Users/Partners/Visitors, want to obtain more information about cookies, they can obtain it in the Cookie Policy.

7. RIGHTS OF USERS

7.1 Users have the right to request WOU not to process their personal data for marketing purposes. Users will be informed, before data collection, if WOU intends to use personal data for that purpose or if it intends to make the data available to third parties for that purpose. Users can exercise the right to oppose such processing by ticking the boxes that exist on the data collection forms. Users can also exercise this right at any time by contacting WOU through the email address: info@wou.pt

7.2 The Website may contain links to sites in the Partner network. If the User uses a link to any of these websites on the Internet, should be aware that those websites have their own privacy policies and WOU cannot be held responsible for those policies. The User must check these policies before submitting any personal data on these Internet websites.

7.3 The Personal Data Protection Law gives the data subject the right to access the information that WOU holds about User. The right of access can be exercised under the terms of that Law.

7.4 In addition to the right of access, the User has the right to rectify its personal data, as well as the right to delete it by canceling the account in its personal area of the website or by sending an email message to: info@wou.pt. The deletion of the User's personal information occurs after the request to remove or cancel the service.

8. MODIFICATION OF THE PRIVACY POLICY

8.1 Any changes regarding the WOU Privacy Policy will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to Users by email.
