Afrolatin dances are social dances that are typically enjoyed at festive events. Bachata, Kizomba, and Salsa are the dances you'll practice at Ritmo Latino.
The classes are for beginners who want to start from scratch, intermediate students who already know some moves and want to become more confident, and advanced dancers who want to take Bachata, Salsa, and Kizomba to the next level.
At Ritmo Latino Dance School, you'll explore Afrolatin dances with other students, always guided by Professor Jonas Ribeiro, blending learning with social interaction.
The classes are for everyone, come and try it out.

About Ritmo Latino
Founded in 2002, Ritmo Latino Dance School is considered one of the leading schools for Afrolatin dances in Coimbra. Thanks to the experience of its mentor, Professor Jonas Ribeiro—who began his extensive and diverse training in 1992 and brings his personalized methodology to the school—over 1,000 students have been taught throughout the years.
Ritmo Latino views Afrolatin dances as a form of bodily expression and communication, prioritizing both the social aspect of dance and the performance aspect.

1. What if I don’t have a partner? Is that a problem?
A: No problem at all! These are social dances, so the exercises are done through partner rotations. You’ll have the opportunity to dance with different people during the class, so everyone is welcome, whether you come alone or with a partner!
2. What is the cost of the first class?
A: The first class costs 7 euros. If you decide to register, this amount will be deducted from the first monthly fee, giving you a great opportunity to try the class before committing!
3. What is the appropriate clothing to wear for class?
A: We recommend casual clothing that you feel comfortable in. Ideally, wear sneakers or any comfortable shoes that allow you to move freely and enjoy the class!
