A: There are several categories of motorcycle licenses, each with specific age requirements and types of vehicles allowed:
Category AM: Can be obtained from the age of 16 and allows you to ride mopeds and motorcycles up to 50cc, as well as light quadricycles. However, it does not permit carrying passengers or riding on highways.
Category A1: Available from the age of 16, it allows you to ride motorcycles up to 125cc and a maximum power of 11 kW, as well as tricycles with up to 15 kW power. In this category, attaching a sidecar is not permitted.
Category A2: Can be obtained from the age of 18 and allows you to ride motorcycles with up to 35 kW of power. Holders of this license can also ride vehicles in the AM and A1 categories.
