1. What exactly is micropigmentation and how does it differ from a tattoo?
A: Micropigmentation is a semi-permanent technique that deposits pigment in the superficial layers of the skin — unlike a tattoo, which penetrates the deeper layers. For this reason, the result is more natural, fades gradually over time and can be adjusted or corrected. Tattoos are permanent and use different inks from those used in micropigmentation.

2. Which areas of the face can be micropigmented?
A: The techniques covered in this course address the three main areas of facial micropigmentation: eyebrows — to define, fill or redesign; eyes — micropigmented eyeliner to intensify the gaze; and lips — contouring and filling for greater definition and volume.

3. How long do the results of micropigmentation last?
A: The results of micropigmentation generally last between 1 and 3 years, depending on skin type, the area treated, sun exposure and post-procedure care. The gradual fading is one of the great advantages of the technique — it allows for adjustments and corrections over time.

4. What post-procedure care will I learn to teach clients?
A: The course includes a component dedicated to expectation management and post-procedure care — such as avoiding intense sun exposure, not wetting the treated area in the first few hours, not applying make-up to the area, and using appropriate moisturising products to prolong the result. Knowing how to communicate this care to clients is essential for building loyalty.

5. Is micropigmentation suitable for all skin types?
A: It is not indicated for all cases. The course covers the identification of skin phototypes and the contraindications of the technique — such as very oily skin, tendency to keloids, autoimmune diseases or pregnancy. Knowing how to identify these situations is fundamental to working safely and professionally.

6. Is prior experience in aesthetics required to take this course?
A: No. The course is designed to welcome both beginners who want to enter the field of micropigmentation and professionals who want to add this technique to their service portfolio.

7. Does the course have a certificate?
A: At the end of the training a course completion certificate is issued by Studio Leia Liberato — one of the references in micropigmentation and eyebrow design in Portugal, with 27 years of experience and more than 3000 students trained.

8. How do I enrol?
A: You can enrol directly through the WOU registration form or contact us via WhatsApp. Enrolment is open — secure your place now.
