1. If I dance with a partner, what is the real advantage of taking a solo class?
A: It's a huge advantage. A strong couple is made of two strong individual dancers. In partner classes, it's natural to use your partner for support. In these solo classes, you learn to master your own balance, posture, and movements without any assistance. This will make you a more independent, confident, and consequently, a much better and more secure partner.
2. Is this class more for social dancers or for competitors?
A: It's for both, as the benefits apply to all levels. A social dancer will gain a new elegance and ease that will make them stand out on the dance floor. A competitor will find this is the space to refine the technical details that make a difference in the judges' scores and provide a competitive edge.
3. What specific technical aspects are worked on in the class?
A: The focus is on individual dance fundamentals. We work in detail on footwork, control of your center of gravity, balance in spins and turns, arm styling, and body expression, always with a strong connection to musicality.
4. Can men also participate, or is the class focused on 'Lady Styling'?
A: This class is fundamental for all dancers, regardless of gender. The principles of good posture, balance, and clean footwork are universal and essential for both leaders and followers. Individual technique is the foundation for everyone.
5. Is it a very physically demanding class?
A: It's more of a technical class than a cardiovascular one. The demand is not on sweating, but on concentration and muscle control. You will work on stabilising muscles you might not even know you had, resulting in greater strength and body awareness.
6. What clothes and shoes should I wear?
A: Wear comfortable training clothes that allow the instructor to see your body lines (avoid very baggy items). The ideal footwear is dance shoes (either practice or competition shoes). If you don't have any, bring shoes with a smooth sole that won't stick to the floor, to make turns easier.
7. Is there a pass option to attend multiple classes?
A: Yes! We have the Free Pass for €55, our most popular option. It gives you full and unlimited access to all studio classes, including Social Dance, Competition, Afro-Latin, Latin Ladies, Solo Dance, Funk, High Heels, and even Physical Preparation. It's the best way to dive into the world of dance and improve quickly.
