Who are the training sessions for?
For children, young people and adults who want to start playing handball — or who already have experience and want to continue developing in an organised and competitive structure. No prior experience is required for the youth age groups.

About Macieira Andebol Club
Macieira Andebol Club is a handball sports club based in Macieira da Maia, in Vila do Conde, affiliated with the Associação de Andebol do Porto. With an organised structure from youth age groups to seniors — male and female — the club has contributed to the development of handball in the region, producing athletes who have gone on to nationally recognised clubs and professional level. A project with ambition, community and a future.

1. Is handball suitable for children with no prior experience?
A: Yes. The youth age groups — Bambis, Manitas and Minis — are specifically designed for children taking their first steps in handball. Teaching is progressive, playful and adapted to each age group. No prior experience is required.
2. From what age can children enrol?
A: Enrolment is open from age 6 — the Bambis and Manitas age group. The club has a structure for all age groups, up to seniors, male and female.
3. Are there training sessions for both boys and girls?
A: Yes. Macieira Andebol Club has male and female teams across several age groups — ensuring that both boys and girls have the opportunity to train and compete.
4. What are the training days and times?
