As its creator Joseph Pilates said: 'In 10 sessions you will feel the difference. In 20 sessions they will see the difference. In 30 sessions you will have a new body.'

1. What exactly is Pilates and how does it work in a group class?
A: Pilates is a method of physical and mental exercise created by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century. It works the body as a whole — with a focus on strengthening the deep muscles, improving posture and balance. In group classes, the teacher guides the group through progressive exercises adapted to each participant's level, in a motivating and supportive environment.

2. Is prior experience or good physical condition required?
A: No. Pilates is suitable for anyone — regardless of age, physical condition or prior experience. Exercises are adapted to each participant's level and progression is always gradual and safe.

3. What are the main benefits of Pilates?
A: Pilates improves posture and body alignment, strengthens the deep muscles — especially the core and spine —, increases flexibility, prevents and aids recovery from injuries, improves balance and coordination, and promotes physical and mental wellbeing. It is one of the most complete practices recommended by physiotherapists and doctors.

4. Does Pilates help with weight loss?
A: Pilates is not primarily a cardiovascular activity, but it contributes to weight loss by increasing muscle mass, boosting metabolism and improving body composition. Combined with a balanced diet, it is an excellent tool for physical transformation.

5. Are there special prices for those aged 50 and above?
A: Yes. Classes have special prices for those aged 50 and above — with plans from €15/month for 1 class per week and up to €25/month for 3 classes per week. It is a unique opportunity to take care of your health with excellent value for money.

6. Is Pilates suitable for people with back pain or injuries?
A: Yes. Pilates is one of the most recommended practices for those suffering from lower back or neck pain or recovering from injuries. However, we recommend communicating any specific health conditions before starting classes, so that the teacher can adapt the exercises to your situation.

7. How do I enrol?
A: You can enrol directly through the WOU registration form or contact us via WhatsApp. We have multiple timetable options available — find the one that best fits your schedule and start today.
