1. What exactly is Small Group Training and how does it differ from a normal group class?
A: Small Group Training is a format halfway between personal training and conventional group classes. Groups have a maximum of 10 people — which allows for much closer and more personalised support than in a normal group class. Each session is supervised by specialist trainers who correct technique, adapt exercises and ensure each person progresses safely and effectively.
2. Is it suitable for beginners?
A: Yes. Each member starts with an initial assessment where goals are defined and current physical condition is analysed. The programme is then adapted to each person's level — making Small Group Training suitable for both beginners and more experienced athletes.
3. How many people are there per session?
A: Groups have a maximum of 10 people — a deliberate choice to ensure close and personalised support for each member in every session.
4. What disciplines are available?
A: New Ground offers Full Body, HIIT, Core, Legs and Upper Body — with more than 40 semi-private group classes per week. There is also a HYROX Training Club for those who want to prepare for high-performance fitness competitions.
5. What is HYROX and who is it for?
A: HYROX is one of the most demanding and popular fitness competitions in the world — combining running with functional exercises. New Ground is an official HYROX Training Club, with specific preparation programmes for this competition. It is indicated for those who want a concrete and challenging goal.
6. Does New Ground offer nutrition and rehabilitation services?
A: Yes. In addition to group training, New Ground has a nutritionist available for dietary support and certified specialists in cardiac rehabilitation, obesity and training for special populations — making it a complete health and performance solution.
7. What should I bring to the first session?
A: Comfortable sportswear and footwear. For the first visit, it is recommended to arrive a few minutes early to get to know the space and the trainers. Everything else is available at the facilities.
8. How do I make a booking?
A: You can enrol directly through the WOU registration form or contact us via WhatsApp. We recommend starting by booking a trial visit to get to know the space and see if it is the right place for you.
